Ards Borough Council
Libertas Solutions designed, built and delivered a bright and vibrant website to Ards Borough Council within 12 weeks of being awarded the job. The U Do Powered website has enabled Ards to offer a number if its services online including the purchase of dog licences, wheelie bins and the handling applications for special waste collections.
Ards website compiles with accessibility legislation (WCAG AAA Compliant ), the freedom of information act and data protection act.
U Do has given non-technical civil servants the power to manage the site whilst giving the management of the council a robust workflow management system to control the publication of its content.
Magherafelt District Council
Libertas redeveloped Magherafelt District Councils corporate website and supplied U Do so that it could be effectively managed. The site now complies with legislation and ensures customers with disabilities can access the site. The website is now managed in-house saving the council time and money when refreshing content or communicating with stakeholders.
The site now has features that allow for increased interactivity with visitors as well as providing useful information for potential foreign visitors and for key stakeholders (i.e. local population) and a secure and administration area.
U Do offered Magherafelt District Council the flexibility it needed for users and the interactivity it wanted for site visitors. The site features a forum, guest book feature and visitor polls that rotate upon the page refreshing. RSS feeds help keep citizens informed of developments in their area. The Councils site can also be viewed on PDA's.
An image rotator feature has also been applied which helps to extend the longevity of content on the site.
